Located in the heart of Gibraltar, The Gibraltar Museum has a long history, with its origins dating back to 1830 when the Gibraltar Scientific Society was established. The museum itself was officially founded in 1930.
The museum boasts a diverse range of collections that encompass various aspects of Gibraltar's history, geology, archaeology, and natural history. Some of the notable collections include artifacts from the Neanderthal period, as well as exhibits on the Great Siege of Gibraltar and the Rock's military history.
